Are they your style?

Don't be afraid to ask your vendors (musicians, photographers, caterers etc.) questions about their dress/uniform, style etc. It is very important that your vendors reflect your taste and meet your expectations and it is completely acceptable to discuss with them their presentation style and overall appearance for events. You should always discuss lighting with photographers and videographers to make sure you are comfortable with the equipment that they use and many performers bring their own lighting, which you may want to discuss beforehand as well. It's always better to take the time to discuss these important items before your event, than to be surprised with unexpected dress, lighting or a unique style on your event day.
