“According to event
coordinators Leanne Silicato and Casey Kieffer of Make My Day Event
Planning, the dedication ceremonies are slated to include contributions
from a variety of community groups, ‘Members of the Nanticoke Indian tribe
will perform a welcome dance and a choir composed of members from several
Lewes-area churches will sing both American and Dutch hymns and anthems,’
says Kieffer.
'Students from our elementary schools will have
anniversary-themed artwork on display and we're recruiting area high
school students to help escort the visiting dignitaries,' added Silicato.
'Citizens from the Netherlands will be hosted by Lewes families when
they're here for the events and we expect to have a representative from
the Dutch Embassay on hand to give a speech…'
